Who we are
Minute Sky is a trading name of OPTIFLOW LABS LTD, a private limited company registered in England and Wales, company no. 16896823. Registered office: Flat 41 Albany Park Court, 3 Westwood Road, Southampton, SO17 1LA, England. Email: support@minutesky.com. OPTIFLOW LABS LTD is not registered for VAT. We are the data controller for the personal data described here. For any privacy question or request, email support@minutesky.com.
What we collect and why
- Birth details (first name, date, time if you give it, birth city): to calculate your chart, show your preview and write your report. Legal basis: taking steps at your request before a contract, and the contract once you buy.
- Email address: if you buy, to deliver your report and answer you. If you join our list, to tell you once when checkout opens. If you tick the separate box, to send occasional emails about your 2027 dates (at most 3; they stop when you buy or unsubscribe). Legal basis: contract (purchase); consent (list and marketing, each withdrawable with one click). We keep no email for people under 18.
- Order and payment details: you enter your card details on the Stripe checkout page, not on our site, and we never see your full card number. Stripe sends us your email address, country, the amount paid and payment reference numbers. We use them to deliver your report, make refunds and keep our accounts. Legal basis: contract, and our legal duty to keep tax and accounting records.
- Your report: the text written for you, stored with your order so your private link keeps working. Legal basis: contract.
- Emails you send us: email to any minutesky.com address is received by Cloudflare and forwarded to our mailbox at Google (Gmail). A short alert with your email address and the subject line goes to our private staff chat on Telegram. If we switch on automatic replies, an AI model (Anthropic) sorts each message into a type, for example a refund request, and a fixed reply goes back to the address you wrote from. Links to a report only ever go to the address that bought it. Legal basis: contract (for buyers) and legitimate interests (answering you).
- Technical data (a scrambled form of your IP address, deleted within 24 hours; our host's logs also hold IP addresses for a short time; the Cloudflare bot check on the quiz reads signals from your browser): to stop abuse. Legal basis: legitimate interests.
We do not ask for, and you should not give us, health information. Astrology is not medical advice. We never sell your data.
AI and automated decisions
Paid reports are written by an AI model (Anthropic) from your calculated chart. We send it your first name, your birth details and the calculated chart, never your email address or payment details. Free previews are not sent to Anthropic. We do not make decisions about you by automated means that have legal or similarly significant effects.
How long we keep it
- Free previews and their birth details: 90 days, then deleted automatically.
- Your email and consent records, if you did not buy: kept with your preview for 90 days. If you unsubscribe, we keep only a scrambled form of your email address on a do-not-email list, so that we never email you again.
- Paid orders (birth details, email, report text and private link): 400 days after purchase, which covers all of 2027. Then deleted automatically.
- Order and payment records (order number, date, amount, tax, country, email address and refunds): 6 years from the end of the financial year they belong to, as UK tax rules require. These are kept in Stripe and in our accounts.
- Emails you send us and our staff alerts about them: up to 2 years after the conversation ends, then deleted.
- Rate-limit counters: up to 24 hours.
Who processes it for us
These providers handle data for us. Most are in the United States. For each, this is the legal safeguard for sending UK personal data abroad:
- Vercel Inc. (website hosting, US): certified under the UK Extension to the EU-US Data Privacy Framework.
- Upstash, Inc. (database for previews, orders, reports, consent records, the do-not-email list and rate limits, US): certified under the UK Extension to the EU-US Data Privacy Framework.
- Anthropic PBC (writes paid reports; may sort support emails, US): standard contractual clauses with the UK Addendum, in Anthropic's data processing terms.
- Stripe (payments: Stripe Payments UK Ltd, Stripe, LLC and Sold through Link, LLC, US): Stripe, LLC is certified under the UK Extension to the EU-US Data Privacy Framework. Stripe also uses payment data for its own purposes, such as fraud checks, under its own privacy policy (stripe.com/privacy).
- Resend (sends our emails, US): certified under the UK Extension to the EU-US Data Privacy Framework.
- Cloudflare, Inc. (bot check on the quiz, which sets no advertising cookies; receives and forwards email sent to our addresses, US): certified under the UK Extension to the EU-US Data Privacy Framework.
- Google LLC (the Gmail mailbox where we read your emails, US): certified under the UK Extension to the EU-US Data Privacy Framework.
- Telegram (private alerts to our own staff chat about orders and emails; these can include your email address and a short summary or subject line of a message, never your report): Telegram says it stores data for UK and EEA accounts in the Netherlands, which UK law treats as giving adequate protection.
Your rights
You can ask to see, correct or delete your data, to restrict or object to how we use it, to get a copy to take elsewhere, or to withdraw consent at any time. Email support@minutesky.com, ideally from the address you used with us, so we can check it is you. It is free. We answer within one month. If a request is complex, we may need up to two more months, and we will tell you within the first month.
If you ask us to delete your data, we delete your preview, order and report. We keep only the order and payment records the law makes us keep, for the time shown above. Stripe deletes its own payment data on request through Onelink support (link.com).
You can also complain to the UK Information Commissioner's Office: ico.org.uk, phone 0303 123 1113. We would like the chance to help first.
